Fake Lynching on Church Property - Too shocking?
My name is Amy and I am a member of Dove World Outreach Center.
We
recently erected a scene where a Christian mannequin is being lynched by
a Muslim mannequin who is wearing a sign saying "Sharia Law" which is the Islamic law. Everything is basically life sized and it is a very
shocking, disturbing sight when you drive near the church property.
A man from the neighborhood drove up on his bike and was very angry. He told me he was very disturbed and outraged about this scene. I told him that it simply reflects what is happening in the Islamic countries all the time. He agreed but he said its not like that here and we should think of the young children that see this.
What about the young children in Iran who see their mothers, aunts, sisters hung? Those are real people!
He is right, its not like that here....yet. There is a saying I think is true "Evil prevails when good men do nothing." Islam is growing in the whole world. Thousands of Americans are converting every year and we as Christians just want to pretend everything is okay.
We don't want any disturbing images in our neighborhoods. We don't want to be confronted with the sufferings of other people. We just want to live our normal, happy Christian life and maybe support some missionaries financially.
We have a responsibility as Christians and Americans. We are blessed, saved and live an amazing country. If we want to keep on living in a free nation like this we have to defend this freedom and stand up for those who cannot!
Proverbs 24:11-12 "Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, "But we knew nothing about this,"does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?"
