Go with God or get out of the way!
The Bible should change us. It is God’s word, His Word. We have become so weird, so hardened, we have been hurt so much that it doesn’t change us. But when we are born again, saved by God, then change takes place immediately. And as you continue to go in God, change continues to take place. If that does not happen then you need to examine the level of your salvation.
“Moreover the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.”
Deuteronomy 30:6
Circumcision set the children of God apart. They were completely different, separated. Right now our ‘circumcision,’ our difference is the sign, the youtube, the stand. We need to be careful, all of us, and the children, not to fall into the same routine. God has called us to do something different. OK, some of the same things, but also something different.
We need to love God with all our heart, to return to that. Give him everything! Mostly we don’t give it all. We do as little as possible so no one gets on our case. But when you work hard you get promoted, you advance. That is how we really live. In this place in 2010 we are not just trying to get by, exist, survive. We are living!
“I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.”
Deuteronomy 30:16
Love God and walk in his ways. This is our job, to do what God says. Do we like the sign, ISLAM IS OF THE DEVIL? It is not a matter of whether we like the sign. This is where our society is, where our society has come to. I don’t like it so I automatically deem it wrong. I am god, I am judge, I don’t like it. But it is not about like or love, what I feel. It is about truth, about the Bible. Is it true or not?
We are called to be little Jesus’, to talk like him, to act like him. Jesus spoke the truth. He called for repentance. Not only Islam is of the devil. Hinduism, humanism, anything and everything that does not line up with the Word of God, that Jesus is the only way, is of the devil.
Jesus said it himself. I am the way the truth the life - no one - and that excludes everyone - comes to the father except through him. This is the truth. It is about lining up with the truth, so that we can live and multiply.
2010 is a year of obedience and multiplication. God means to bless us. To be honest, we don’t look too blessed. It’s OK. God loves us, loves you and me, but we need to line up to be blessed. Command yourself to love the lord. This is an attitude not an opinion. It as a commandment.
Indeed, He loves the people;
All Your holy ones are in Your hand,
And they followed in Your steps;
Everyone receives of Your words.Deuteronomy 33:3
The people of God are in his hand. He will hold on, he will keep us. We will not backslide or leave unless we jump out of his hand. We are not robots. You can pry the hand loose, you can break out. But we hold on, and follow in his steps.
Do you follow? You can never be a leader unless you can follow. You will never become a leader unless you follow, because following is humility. There is nothing worse than a super prideful leader who cannot ask permission, who cannot follow.
Jesus had to follow. You have to be a follower because most of us are just followers. If we would just find our position in the church and just do it, we would be better off. We follow in his steps. It is not what you think and feel. It is God’s steps. You find his steps and walk in his steps. Simple. You listen to God’s words. It is what is being said and preached here, the Word of God. If it is God’s word then we must do it.
Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God and walk in all His ways and keep His commandments and hold fast to Him and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul."
Joshua 22:5
Are we careful? When I was a child, we were not wealthy and I took care of what I had. Kids today don’t. This is a throw away society, an update society, you just get more. But if we are careful, things last a long time.
Like relationships. Mostly we are mean, ugly, we fight, quarrel, scream, scratch, want our own way, we are stubborn, and we just throw it away. If we are not careful, we abuse it in that sense.
We must be careful with commandments and laws. It is not open to discussion. Just do it. Be careful. The Bible is not open minded, it is not liberal. Once in a while God commands you, and that is not too bad, but when the command comes from ‘Moses,’ we don’t like that. There you can judge the amount of rebellion in your heart.
Hold fast to God. Lots of people are trying to get you to let go of God. You have to hold fast. It is not easy because there are so many opinions out there, so many things. Hobbies, family, relatives, humanism, the devil, all trying to get us to let go and trust something else. And the church out there is so far form God, from the truth of God.
How do we serve God? By serving the church, obeying him, by praying, reading the word, by coming to church. You should never not come to church. Always come to church. If you are saved, you go to church. When you do not come you feel guilty and back slide. No, come to church. It is the place of God, it is the people of God, the house of God. We come out of reverence. It is an offering. We want to accomplish somethings here. We come with our whole heart, all our soul, not half way.
So take diligent heed to yourselves to love the LORD your God.
Joshua 23:11
Take diligent heed to yourself. To your self! We like to point the finger, at the husband, the wife, the pastor. But point to your self. What they do is up to them. If he’s not OK it is partly your problem, but I have to make sure I am taking care, I am going with God.
the trouble with the church is that we spend too much time time pointing a finger at other people’s weaknesses and not enough time looking at ourselves. The easiest thing in the world is to find fault with someone else. There everyone is a world champion. It is as if we have a supernatural anointing for that!
Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD;
But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might."
And the land was undisturbed for forty years.Judges 5:31
I’ll take this one. I am not humanistic. I hope God will kill them all; they all should be killed! Go with God or get out of the way. I don’t care. Like Lester Summerall who wanted to build a church one time. He went to a bank, the guy wouldn’t give him any money, he cursed the guy and he died of cancer. Don’t get all soft on me: poor people! No, they are denying God, destroying God, going against God. They don’t want God, they hate God, they are rebellious stubborn mean people are not good. They will cheat, lie and steal if they don’t have God. Perish! I pray that for all my enemies.
But ‘those’…. Now, we want to be ‘those.’ Be a ‘those’ before you die. It can happen! Bad people die, good people die. But that’s what we want to be, like the rising of the sun in it’s might. Have you ever been up when the sun rose? The breaking of day, new light, new hope, to shine, with power. Without the sun we are dead. It causes life, builds vitamins, strength and energy.
