Haiti Turn to God!
Did Haiti make a pact with the devil? Are they cursed? Is this why the earthquake happened? It is not impossible. They certainly have opened the door to the devil through voodoo. Haiti, like New Orleans, are known as places of sin, corruption and disobedience. They do not look or feel blessed. They also openly practice devil worship with it's weird practices and sacrifices.
In a 2003 article, the BBC wrote that Haitians are 70% Catholic, 30% Protestant, and 100% voodoo. How can you be a Christian and practice voodoo?
In the Bible we see that although sin brings pleasure for a short period of time, there is a judgement. Whole nations, cities, were judged. Men, women and children were destroyed. The same God of love and compassion also called nations and people back to God, to repentance.
Do we really think here in America God will close his eyes forever? Here we allow 3600 children to be aborted every day. What shall we do?
Only repentance brings forgiveness. Of course we stretch out our hand and help. This is right and needed, but we also call them out to repentance, to read their Bibles, to come back to God.
And if we don't repent in America, as a nation, the same earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes may be coming our way. It could be. Biblically, this type of judgement is possible.
