Young Muslim Girl Becomes a Christian - What Will Happen to Her?
My name is Faith Sapp. I am ten years old, a student at Talbot Elementary School and a member of Dove World Outreach Center, the church where my Dad and Mom are Pastors.
This summer my church put up a sign that says ISLAM IS OF THE DEVIL in front of the church because we want to speak out about this religion that kills people for no apparent reason. I wore a T-Shirt to school the first day of classes this year, that had the same message written in big letters on the back. The school does not want me to wear this shirt there anymore, but many people saw me anyway, and there was a big television news story made about me and my T-shirt that many more people saw that evening.
One girl younger than me came up to me at school the following Monday on the playground and told me that she had seen my shirt the first day of school and she had thought a lot about it that night. She looked like she could have been from the Middle East, and did not tell me her name, but we talked together for a while. She told me happily that she had been saved that night, that Jesus had saved her and she had become a Christian. She had asked God, “If you are real, can you show your self to me? I have been taught about Islam, but I need you to show yourself to me and I will become a Christian.” God appeared to her in dream and she asked Him what was the right thing to believe. He told her to believe in Jesus, and she decided to do that.
It was not just my T Shirt that had made her think about this. As young as she was, she knew about Christianity because she had an Aunt, her mother’s sister, who had become a Christian some time before. She was close to that Aunt who had taught her what Christianity means. In a Muslim family, this is against the law, their Muslim Law, to convert from Islam. She told me that she remembers the day that her father went outside with her Aunt and a gun and killed her Aunt for the crime of becoming a Christian. She did not say if this had happened here or in another country.
This girl told me she knew she would have to be a secret Christian until she left her home as an adult, but she planned to be open Christian then.
I have not seen this girl since that day we talked, but I wonder if her father is abusing her, or will abuse her because it is hard to keep Christian faith hidden. I wonder what else might happen to her, and I pray that she will be safe be able to stay in America as an open Christian one day.
People say we hate people, but I see how much hate comes out of other people when they yell at us about the T-Shirts and the sign, but we are giving people all the love we can. I am so glad I wore that shirt to school. My church is awesome. The people are so happy there, and I am happy at the church too.
This post should be read from the pulpit in every American church!
We need to wake up and realize that Islam not a threat far off and we can ignore it. The United States are at war with Islam since 9/11 and as Christians we should have been at war with Islam much longer.
How can it be that in our nation being so proud of our freedom a ten year old girl has to fear for her life and stay a Christian for many years in secret after she experienced the Almighty God so personal? And this happens in a small sleepy University town full of so called tolerance and humanism! As Christian churches we must offer protection and shelter for Muslims converting to Christ, and we must fight the evil of Islam back out of the country, before it is too late.
Think of this girl. She has found the most precious relationship she'll ever have. She has found the truth. But at her age she already has been clearly taught that Muslims converting to Christianity have to be killed. She experienced her own Father to shoot her aunt she loved because of that!
My prayer is that people read this, are shocked and start to do something! Join others that stand up, do not fall back in religious excuses, fear and lazyness.
