The descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. Nehemiah 9:2

They found written in the law how the LORD had commanded through Moses that the sons of Israel should live in booths during the feast of the seventh month. Nehemiah 8:14

In the Old Testament, sexual perverts, adulterers, prostitutes, and homosexuals were put to death on God's orders (Leviticus 18) because of the destructive wickedness of such acts. Under the New Covenant we know that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the Cross, so this penatly is not meeted out in this life. Jesus forgave the adulteress that was to have been stoned, but he said to her, "Go and sin no more." (John 8) The severity of the sin remains and is just as hated by God. We have a chance, in Christ, to repent and seek forgiveness and deliverance from sexual perversion.

As for the builders, each wore his sword girded at his side as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me. Nehemiah 4:18

"O Lord, I beseech You, may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name, and make Your servant successful today and grant him compassion before this man " Now I was the cupbearer to the king.      Nehemiah 1:11

...let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You now, day and night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Your servants, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You; I and my father's house have sinned. Nehemiah 1:6

Forgive. Not easy but it is the most import truth that you need to get hold of for your life. You need to be forgiven for your faults and sins by others, by God. And you must forgive those who have done you wrong.
